Default Zymol

I was wondering if anyone here has used this product, and if so how'd you like it?

I used Concours for many years. I've since switched to Vintage. Concours is a fantastic wax and undoubtedly one of the best I've ever used. It's a little more pricey than say Soveran, but sometimes you can get it for $99 and then it's not as ridiculously priced. I highly recommend if you start using Concours that you first prep the paint with HD-Cleanse.

Just don't expect much protection from these waxes. Maybe 1-2 weeks. Their main purpose is to load the surface with oils and make the paint look wet for car shows.

I've never had a problem getting at least 4 weeks out of my Zymol. Granted, local conditions and season impact the longevity of a wax. Typically, I use something more durable during the winter because looks are less important when your car is covered with snow.

Mikey,
Have you ever used the Zymol estate glazes over a sealant, so that you've got that underlying protection? Something like Klasse, Zaino, etc?

I have a bottle of FMJ and also a sample bottle of Wolfgang. I've always been tempted to try that out. The Zymol instructions seem to indicate that it is finicky about what it will bond to, but I think that is more a warning about using products with petroleum distillates before the Zymol.

OK. So, I think next detail (hopefully next week) will be:

1. FPII with polishing pad
2. FMJ
3. Vintage

I may use IP before the FPII. There is some swirling in the paint from a recent trip to the body shop. They "washed" my car before they returned it. Afterward, I'll post up my thoughts and of course . . . pictures!

As soon as the temps warm up (been in the low 50's here) I'm going to give the Zymol a test run.

I stripped the previous coats of wax off with Vanilla Moose by hand and added ONE coat of Zymol Concours estate glaze the other day, here are a couple quick pics:

As soon as we get some more nice weather, the coats are gonna sart to pile up as well as the pics
