Blue Book Values
have any of you seen the increase in the blue book lately??
It told me my 2000 w/ 60k was worth 17g's!!!!
I bought it for 14,500 in '07 and it was worth 15 back then...a year ago it was blue booked at 11,500
too bad people are selling them for less than their worth on craiglist, driving our values down

Our cars are definitely increasing in value. More and more are being crashed by people who don't know how to drive this car(twitchy rwd handling) and simply being out of production for a few years now is the outcome. I checked my car back in '09 when it had around 35k-40k miles, was blue booked around $17K. Then again in '10 with 50k-55k miles, was blue booked around $20K. '11 with 65k-70k miles, blue booked around $22K. Just checked this morning with 75k-80k miles, blue booked at $23K.
damn good news! bought my baby 4 years ago for about 16k, after over 10,000 miles and 4 years of good times ive only depreciated 3 grand. Unlike my buddy with a g35 that bought his at the same time has depreciated over 20 grand

Bought my S April 2009 for 14,900.
Sold it for 16,500 two months ago.
KBB value said it was good for 19,100.
It took me two months to sell with ads in multiple cities on CL and an ad on Autotrader. I was getting worried that it wouldn't sell because there were some S2000's posted for sale as well that we're up on CL for awhile.
i.e. 2003 AP1 bone stock w/ 12k miles posted for 13,900
2005 AP2 OEM hardtop w/ 22k miles posted at 16,400
And lastly a 2001 Berlina with all red interior with, get this, 6,900 miles posted for 15,900.
Mine still sold though thankfully. But yeah all that rambling I did, was just to say, USE KBB AS A REFERENCE POINT for selling your car and go from there. It's hardly the best thing since sliced bread lol.
