so it turns out that Wawanesa made me to go a place called Miramar Collision Center (for the initial estimate). Anyone recommend of these guys?

Wawa said that the advantage of using the place they recommend is that if anything is wrong w/ the car after you get it back, wawa will get the shop to fix it... otherwise, you're SOL...

What to do... what to do... :/

Typical insurance companies have a NETWORK of various certified shops....not just one. What of their insured broke in El Cajon? Are they telling you they'd have it brought to Miramar anyway? Doubt it. You SHOULD have the option to take it anywhere YOU want, since it is YOUR car.

Furthermore, every shop I have been to has an in-house warranty on their work. Many of them are for the lifetime of the car. They don't need to involve insureance for follow-up work, as they are the ones responsible after the check is cut anyway, so that argument about you being SOL is BS!!

Your car, you choice.
Whoops! I was a little confusing...

The adjustor said the closest shop they had in their network was in Miramar... and Caliber Collision was not in their network.

Sooo... I'm still trying to decide where I want to take it... Caliber in Miramar got lots of thumbs up - especially Mark - which is confusing since he doesn't work there (new job perhaps?).

So, does Caliber still rock even tho Mark doesn't work there anymore? haha...

What did you need to fix?

I just got into a lil accident with my car and the front bumper and fender is crushed. The other guy had no damage so I'm left with just needing to fix my car. I used Ball Collison Center last time in National City but they didn't do that good of a job so everyone recommends Caliber Collison Center? I was also thinking of just buying a new bumper and fender and replacing it myself and getting it paint later.

Well that changes my response a bit, doesn't it?!

Best of luck with the repairs.

I would be careful about using whoever Progressive happens to suggest to you. I was not happy with the place they recommended to me for my integra.
