Default Can anyone help with coilover install?

Hi, my name's David and I've been here in SD since september (UCSD yay!!) and I recently picked up a set of Buddyclub RS Evo coilovers. (they come with external reservoir, do they need to be installed differently?)

I would like to work on it on my own, but I have no garage (I live in the dorm) and have only few basic tools.

Can anyone help with this install? I would need a garage, some tools, and some helping hands if possible.

I don't have work, but am a full time student, so I'm free after 4pm everyday.

In return, I can maybe order a pizza and bring some beers along

Thanks!!

Hi David

Welcome to SD. It's been awhile since we've had a tech day..Your reach out for help may be the push needed to organize one. I'm down to help you install them(just need to find you a location).

These coilovers look legit but the fronts look like they would be a pain since there's no mounting bracket on the shock, one would have to be made to mount the reservoir to the body of the car. The rears look pretty straight forward. 3 Way adjustable, huh...Nice

hehe, a tech day would be awesome!

I was asking around, and I hear you can use metal zip-ties for mounting the reservoir. But then again, I don't have that much experience to know what's good/bad.

Again, thanks in advance!

I can lend a hand if needed, as long as you can find the garage. I should have the tools too.

OR once my S gets done. We can trade cars, and I go do it at my school where the air lift and all the fancy tools are available. The problem is only the students registered in tha class are allowed to work on cars, no one else
