Who is the master Castro? Who called broken ring and pinion?

Just throw a new final drive in there (4.5/4.7) and call it a day!

Good thing the problem was diagnosed quickly. If you kept on driving on it, the broken shards of metal from the ring and pinion would have bounced around the diff carrier causing more damage to the pumpkin itself. If that was the case, say good bye to the whole Diff/LSD assmebly itself.

You called it Don. I told Gavin that i was going to place the actual broke tooth as a ornament on my rear view mirror just to remind me to take care of my diff for now on!

I have read about the 4.77 and yes I may lose some gas, top speed, lots of shifting and sucky highway driving. Honestly i only drive 12 miles to work and I dont take any highways. I told Gavin, "If I do it, I am going to do it big!" I have also read that it is a hugh difference in acceleration and that much more fun to drive.

I've driven on 4.57 gears and that there, is already an amazing difference from the stock 4.1's. I can only imagine the 4.77's!

What a sad thing to see. At least there is something good to come from it.
