DUI
I got a DUI around 6am Sunday morning after my left rear tire blew out on the 163. I still blew over the limit even after 5 hours from the last drink i had. Oh, and I ate a shit load of food at Denney's too. This is by far the worst thing that's happened to me. I'm definately taking a break from drinking and partying. Trust me fellas, you don't want this to happen to you. PLEASE do NOT drink and get behind the wheel. Thanks.

Been there dude, not fun at all. Car insurance is about to become very sucky for you. My DUI cost me over $10,000 between lawyer costs, all the fines, and getting myself a new (cheaper) car.
The zero tolerance period really sucks. They can technically give you a second DUI if you take cough medicine because of the little bit of alcohol in it.
I got mine up in Sacramento when I was living there. I'm not sure how different the process is down here, but we had to do an interview to get placed for community service. I was overly polite, professional, and friendly when I went in for my interview. The person basically asked what I wanted to do. I said "Just the fact I am here I know that I can't be too picky, but if it is even remotely in your power to keep me from picking up trash I would greatly appreciate it." She placed me in some cushy office job filing some papers. I worked hard, and my supervisor recognized it. He had me basically do one major project, on my own, and then said that he would write off the rest of my time. I basically got done with my 200 hours of community service in about 80 hours.
Just hang in there, and be thankful no one else got hurt in the process.

For sure dude. Hit me up as much as you want. As sucky as the situation is, I think its probably something that I can help with. And the southern cali forum has always been there for me...so its the least I can do.
