So I repeated the Borrego Run yesterday by myself, and again today with a couple friends (350Z, 240SX, '99 Trans Am, '93 Camero). For those of you that have been on it, there wasn't much of anything different enough to mention. I will point out however, that it is QUITE different when you are choosing your own lines rather than following the crowd of S2k's in front of you. Anyway, I got a couple of pics of the Glass Elevator, which I didn't realize you could see so well from down in Borrego Springs. Thought I'd share. And BTW, these Megan Racing coilovers make a world of difference in handling. I've been adjusting them back and forth two or three times a day, and I loved every corner in the canyons! Thanks again to Joe for helping with the install!
From Yaqui Pass Rd. you can see the cut in the hillside...
And then looking down from Montezuma Valley Rd....
I don't get this whole 'GLASS ELEVATOR' deal?! Why do they call it that. I still don't see anything that resmbles a 'GLASS ELEVATOR' in the picture! Some help please, nice pics btw.
You keep "Going Up" and yet when you look out over the side from your car you can't see the hill at all. It appears to be a straight drop off. Gives the feeling of going straight up higher and higher overlooking Borrego Springs. That's my take on it. Why's that road Liem posted called the Dragon's Tail?

HEY why dident I get a call for that run Come on man!!!! You had a Camero and a Tras AM on the run.
Sorry. In all honesty, I was a little worried about these guys.
A few things:
1) The Domestics have a lot of torque, as you know, and these guys were only used to wide open spaces.
2)The guy with the Z has only had the car for a couple months, and is still learning how it handles compared to his old Ford pickup.
3)The guy in the SX I didn't know well at all, so I wasn't sure what kind of driver he would be. (Turns out he used to run Drift Circuits in Japan)
4)Aside from the drifter, these guys had NEVER been in a canyon.
I knew I could control these guys if they tried to take things out of hand, so I didn't go public with the run. Kept it small so I could control it.
