Got rear ended :(
mth57 thanks a lot for all the info man., I'm going to call them right now. I actually did call right now but no reply. I am the one handling all the documetns etc, and know the StateFarm agent too, so hopefully that shouldn't be a problem.

mth57? tomorrow by Ikea at 7ish right? I might roll out.
Ohh and back to the topic. The opposite person's insurance called and agreed that they do accept Liability for the accident and will pay for my damage. (my dad's agent actually told me to be ready to hear an excuse of not being at fault). They will pay for damage, and offer rental car service. Then I told her about the towing, she asked for the reciepts of it. I will send that once I get her emaial, and will let them know about the 2 days work that I missed. Now should I also ask them to pay for my ambulance, or accepting fault automatically means that they will pay???
And the next and most important question for me is, that when I go to take estimates, and they agree on any one shop... Do they actually give me a check? or do they pay the body shop to do the work. ?
The reason why I am asking is, because that car is my daily driver and i don't really care about fixing it (its just scratched a bit) so that money would be great in my pocket. haha

yeah tell them you want them to pay for all damages and expenses associated with the accident. give them the hospital bill, and tow receipt. and tell them you need to be compensated for lost wages.
alright another question now, lol do I get the receipt myself or they have it already? because when i was there, the doctor actually told me that the other driver's insurance will pay for it.
And once we agree on the estimate of the repair, ARE THEY GONNA GIVE THE CHECK ON MY NAME? or will they directly pay the body shop? I mean, every insurance might be different but what is the normal result of this. Sorry for all these dumb nooby questions

I've been in a ton of accidents, and only 1 was my fault. But whenever someone hits me, I take the car to the shop of my choice (Metrix in Santee). It is your right to take it to any shop you want. The other insurance will tell you to take it to one of their "certified" shops because it will go faster and smoother. Don't do it!! These shops are in cahoots with the insurance companies to use the cheapest parts and do the repairs for the lowest cost to them. AGAIN, it is your right and California Law, that you can take your car to any shop you want. Take a look at the shops on this forum that members here suggest.
As far as payment, they can do it either way. I always have the insurance company pay the repair shop directly so I do not have deal with it at all. I always tell them I want nothing to do with payment, and to deal with the repair shop. To many chefs in the kitchen spoil the soup.
Again, good luck.
