Ive been noticing a clicking or ticking sound coming from my engine. Its pretty loud, loud enough that I can hear it from the inside of my car, with both windows up.

i popped the hood and noticed the noise is coming from the head. it sounds like the valves opening and closing, but louder. especially when i open the throttle up a little bit.

any info will be of great help.

The noise is gone now. It ended up being low oil level. I checked the oil level, it was low, so I put half a quart of oil in, and the ticking was gone.
