Default Moving to Japan

Well barring a disaster, I'm slated to transfer to Japan in September of this year.

Ella and I are really excited about this because it opens a lot of opportunities for us $$$ and it completes my requirements for my promotion to LCDR.

Once I get my orders in hand.....I will host a "going away" party for all my SD peeps!!

I will probably be parting out and selling the S also...... but no final decision yet..

Guess I better start brushing up on my Japanese...

Damn tim, congrats on the opportunity! That's a life experience I'd love to have someday. What are you gonna drive over there?

LOL....

There are other members that are qualified to be a "CO".

When I leave.... I will relinquish my title and hand it over to who ever wants to step up..

My tour in Japan will require me to deploy to sea for 6-8 months at a time so I will most likely not be spending much time on the site.

We ARE excited but as with all transfers, sad to leave friends.

Japan is a "Mass Transit" country that doesn't require you to have a vehicle while stationed there.

Trains and taxi's are all you need to get around.

I will be eyeballing all the JDM parts in the event it works out that keep the S.

I think you should take your S and have a LHD S over there, show them what it's all about!

Best wishes!!!

Yes Ella will stay on the Base while I'm deployed. She is Federally employed now so she will be making big $$ also.

We discussed this in detail and although we don't need to leave San Diego....it's the best thing for our future to leave now and come back.

The plan is to definately come back to San Diego and look at buying our dream home (3 car garage )....
