Default Need Advice! Please Help!

So I purchased my '07 S2000 back on Dec 24, 2007 brand new. Hasnt been even a year old yet and this morning I just found a "1 inch rip" on my soft top. Im so Pissssed and dont really know what to do about it. Its really hard to notice but as I was putting my top down this morning it opened up and light went thru it so I noticed. It looks like it was caused by rubbing on one of the tops bars edge when putting it up and down and over time, it just ripped I guess and Im sure it will get worse over time.

Anybody knows if Honda will fix it or replace it since my car is still under warranty? I dont recall them telling me that they cover cosmetics care under warranty when I purchased it. Can anyone give me advice on whats best to do to take care of this problem? Would really appreciate all the help.

Thanks in advance!

Dealer will cover it 100%.
This is a common problem.

I complained good enough that I got my top replaced 100% gratis. My S was at 65k, is a MY00' and I obviously had no warranty or anything.

lol. yeah my bad. I meant back in 2006. And thanx, looks like you got great taste in color as well. Red is my fave and the only other option I would take if given is the Yellow S.

Thanx for the tip everyone. I wasnt quite sure if it was covered and now I know. What a relief.

I got mine replaced a little over a year ago. I noticed the little pin sized holes starting on both sides. I could see the light through my top. I got lucky I guess, but thanks to searching around S2Ki, I found it to be a common problem.
I want to replace it with a glass top someday though.

The top on my '05 started tearing last year. The dealership replaced it at no cost. They put some clear tape on the rear bars but the top is wearing again in the same spot. I read a post a few months ago that said that some owners have identified a rough edge on one of the side hinges as the problem. It is difficult for me to see what is rubbing against the top. Hopefully I can find the source of the problem. Otherwise it looks like I'll be in for another top before the warranty is up.
