Arrow Need help selling :/

I currently own a 2003 s2000 (silverstone) upfor grab at $18,000 @ 46,700 milages, which a believe is under the kbb asking. Lots of people asked about the car, they'll check it out, then days later, they're asking 15-16k in cash -.- I am not trying to sell my car on here or anything i am just asking for tips, trying to sell it as soon as possible. If i would to sell it to the dealer, would they try to low ball me? or should i just keep my ad up for private selling?

You'll make the most money with a private sale, but if you have to get rid of it fast, a dealer is the way to go. You'll lose about $5k trading it in though...

Agreed. I think 18k is more than a fair price for a MY2003. If you keep it up long enough, it'll sell.. esp at that price. But like shannon said, if you're on a time crunch, sell it to the dealer expecting less.

If there is a carmax near you, you should get it appraised there. They'll give you an offer in writing good for 7 days. At least that'll give you a baseline to negotiate with. And FYI, a friend of mine had his s2003 silverstone appraised there and they offered him $20,500. He had 20k miles on the odometer.

private party sale usually = more money

Hold out your price is fair...it will just take some time.

trade= less money

if you're in a crunch selling it to a dealer will cost you some $$, are you planning on buying another car from the dealer..if its just a straight sale with out a purchase..you might get really low balled.

just my 2 cents..good luck with the sale

did you say you put an ad on s2ki in the for sale section???... if you didn't you should go ahead and do it, it just has to be your car that you're selling...*G*

Buff it up, take some good pictures and put it on ebay, craigslist, and park it on the legal spots when you can, but make sure you follow all the for sale sign laws, cops love to ticket on that stuff.
