Default Parking in Mission Beach

Hey SD members im taking a trip to San Diego this weekend and we rented a house in Mission Beach near the Belmont Park Beachfront Amusement Park. I was told i would have to use public parking and was wondering how safe the area was and if i should even think about not taking the S. Just dont want a relaxing vacation to turn into a stressful one.

Also looking for something to do in the area if it rains dont want to be stuck indoors all weekend.

Thanks in advance for the advice.

Whatz up, dude? I remember you from the AZ "Fun in the Sun" event. My girlfriend (Ellie Mae) and I came out from SD for it. Let me know if you wanna connect. I can show you some real roads Sunday morning if you are up for it.

Remove your antenna before someone else does for you. Otherwise you should be okay. Try to park off the main drag (Mission Blvd.), as there are ALOT of bars down there and I wouldn't want some drunken bastard to fall/stumble onto your car.

The weather is so-so right now, but looking to improve a bit for the weekend.

I agree with Hockey.

Just do as much as you can to keep your car secure.

I personally wouldn't want to park the S down there. There are a lot of drunken fools out there who just might be too drunk and act a fool on the S. Especially for Memorial day weekend. I use to live near there and it has got worse and worse each year as far as weekend drunken acts. Just my $.02.

Yeah I wonder how different it'll be now that they banned drinking on the beach.

I would not park my car curbside in Mission Beach. Try to find a pay lot or drive something else. Going to be a ZOO down there no matter the weather. AZ tourists up the ying yang on weekends like this, crowding their mini vans and driving like sh*t.

GL if you do drive the S, but I would not. Raining like a SOB right now.
