Bump once more.

Anyone willing to help me install my top in the SD area (Scripps Ranch/Mira Mesa) before I go to a shop? I'd be willing to PAY someone $$$ to help me.

Let me know. Thanks!

Well my S2k is my DD, so I would need it the defroster in cold and rainy situations.

FYI: Found this place called Quality Auto Upholstery in Kearny Mesa that will install a top for $225. They have a good review on yelp.
I think I'll try this shop on wednesday I just spoke to martin he said 200 for the install and 45 for the straps!! NICE

Nice. Let me know how it goes. I was planning on dropping off my car on Sat to him.

Are the straps necessary? What do they look like?

Update:

Got my OEM top installed at Quality Auto Upholstery in Kearny Mesa by Martin. Excellent job and excellent price (~$200).

He did it by himself in about 3 hours.

My top had the usual stretch tears left and right rear after 7 years of ups and downs. Took it to Martin yesterday and am completely satisfied with my Robbins top. Looks like a new car.
