Default amusepanda

i purchased a brand new itb from amusepanda. the seller had it posted on ebay so i purchased it through ebay with "buy it now" option. the seller only offered one method of shipping "flat rate shipping" so i paid for it. when i got the item, a portion of the manifold is broken completely off so i sent the seller a pm. the seller responded saying that he didnt purchase insurance and its buyer's responsibility to pay for it. how can i pay for it when i didnt have the opton to pay? if the seller offered a flat rate for shipping fees, the seller would assume that cost for insurance as well. now the seller claims that he dosent have the money and he will not issue me a refund. the seller shipped the box with a few bubble wrap sheets that was just loose in the box. knowing that this item can be damaged, the seller should have packed this more properly to avoid damage. the seller should have taped the itb up with bubble wrap instead of laying a few sheets loosely inside. after that, the seller should have filled the gap with something like peanut or additional bubble wrap so it wouldnt move around.

do not buy from this dead beat. he is just trying to get money and bail out. hopefully i will get my money back from paypal.

damn, sorry to hear this happened to you and I hope everything works out. When ship items they are bomb proof inside the packaging. Reputation goes a long way.

yup. Sometimes a little extra can go a long way. When I shipped my volks I sold I went to napa and spent like $25 on vacuum line just so I had something I could use to protect the lip of the rim. I didn't even figure that into the price but it was worth my reputation to make sure it arrived in the same shape it left.

here is a pm from the seller

i did not get insurance on them. its actually the buyers choice and responsibilty to get insurance. i didnt wrap them up as they were from twm and jhpusa. its sounds like the box was very badly abused by ups. once i ship it its out of my hands. as for a refund i really cant do that. i have absolutely no money right now. trust me this is not at all what i had in mind either they we perfect when i sent them and i feel horrible. i am a welder/ fab. by trade and i can easily. very easy to be fixed its just cast aluminum. ask a shop and they will tell you 100.00 at most to fix it. if you can get it done for 100 at a shop let me know and i can send you 100. or send them back to me and i can fix them for you. but i cant do a refund im very sorry.
the box sustained no damage which implies that you didnt pack it properly so when the box was tossed around, it got damaged. had you packed it more properly, it might not be damaged. i paid for a brand new item and now you want me to get it welded? new is new, this is broken. i dont want anything damaged.

you claim you have no money and want to buy a cusco cage???

Dang, that sucks. I hope it all works out for man! You can clearly see he is lying about not having any money. If he has money to buy a cage, he can refund you if he really wanted to. Hopefully paypal will get you the money back.
