No update. He's not responding to mine or the admins PM's. I guess I will start bothering him on instagram and post in the cali area of s2ki

Post up maybe in the regional forum and see if anyone knows him.
I was talking to a few people in San Diego that I know. Looks like he took care of it.

Chris have you gotten any further with this? I hope this guy gives you back 100% of the money so you can put this behind you. It's unfortunate to think people on this forum are willing to go that low. Hope everything gets fixed soon.

glad to hear it's been resolved. I knew this bumper was a fake the moment I saw it, the fitment and mold of the bumper is just off compared to an authentic. Sucks you had to go through all of this. By the time I had noticed, he had already sold the bumper, otherwise I usually call the OP out on trying to sell fake as real.

FYI for all those reading, it's rare for someone to buy authentic stuff like an ASM bumper yet have fake fenders and other aero parts like jdms2000f20c did. I know it's not a 100% rule, but usually someone who buys authentic buys all authentic and someone who buys fake, always buys fake stuff. That was the first tip off to me that the bumper might be fake and to take a closer look. Usually people who buy fakes, they will buy real wheels and real GT wings, but for aero, they don't mind buying fake because it's harder for the average person to tell. I saw the shine ASM fenders he had for sale and got suspicious of the authenticity of his front bumper. Everyone shopping on the forums should be weary of what you're buying. If you're still unsure in the end, just don't buy it, be safe rather than sorry.

This is exactly why I push back so hard against fake parts. The production of replica and fake parts is just a breeding ground for scammers and scumbags. Brings the entire community down a notch.

Honestly though, it's not. I've only received 300 out of 720 I sent the guy. That's all he's sending me too, therefore he's pretty much saying his bumper was worth 420 when clearly it's not worth more than 100. I'm so glad I sold my S2000 because I am over dealing with pieces of shit like this guy. I definitely wont miss the car scene.

Im really glad you got this resolved... but this wasn't a car scene issue. This is a life awakening.. that even those who you think are nice will take advantage of you.

I hope you apply what you learned here to life as a whole.

This wasn't resolved though. The OP is still out $400 for a fake bumper that will sell for maybe half of that. The worst part is the original seller tried to counterfeit the replica bumper and pass it off as a real one by adding the serial number badge. That is totally different than selling something and not realizing it wasn't real.

That is straight up bullshit. How is the original seller not banned from these forums? Trying to pass of fake parts as real is one thing, but adding serial numbers to them to try and screw fellow members out of money... we don't need that shit around here.
