S2k210
Hey S2KI, I was just wondering if anyone has ever dealt with a member with the forum name "S2K210"? He says his name is Ernie, and his number is 401-497-4716. I recently contacted him about a cylinder head he had for sale and it was agreed that he would sell it to me for 330$ shipped and paypaled. Well I sent him the money and soon after never heard from him again. He told me he couldn't ship this past Monday, Aug 8 due to an RI holiday celebrating some victory over japan which closed the post offices. I Googled it and turned out to be legit so I didn't question it. He told me he would ship it out the next day ( Tues. the 9th). Tuesday comes and goes and I was so busy at work I didn't remember to contact him thinking he would just send it out and shoot me the tracking #. Weds. comes around and I remember I haven't gotten a tracking number so I contact him, via text and phone call. No answer, I figured he was busy with work or his son. Thursday, I call him again and nothing, leave a text and nothing, PM's and nothing. I'm trying to avoid jumping the gun and putting this guy on blast as a shady character but after so many ignored attempts to make contact with him I just decided to see if anyone else on here has dealt with him and went through similar treatment. I'm not trying to be all on his back but I don't think a tracking number takes that long to type... Any comments, concerns, advice, or feedback would be appreciated. Oh yea, I feel dumb now that I think about it but he claimed not to have a Paypal so he used "a friend's" account which should have been a red flag from the get go but I like to give people a chance to prove me wrong some times.... So what do you all think? Open a paypal claim? Contact my Credit Card company? He has logged on to these forums multiple days and has never made an attempt to respond to my PM's or messages.
file a claim with paypal..thats all i gots to say before its too late... should be able to get your money back within 7 days of claim.. When i deal with people buying parts/goods i always give them some sort of time to receive the item or else i want my money back or a claim will be filed. So far i had to file 6 claims out of 300+ transaction... money is money man.. if you can't receive item in a timely manner and the seller not responding back to you. its pretty obvious that it's a scam... not most but most seller will at least contact you of the situation of why item will be shipping out late or what not..it's your kids or his kids man...file the claim
Thanks for the advice guys. I really have been giving him ample opportunities to respond. I just want a tracking number to prove that he at least sent it out. Money is money but right now, I'm in need of the head more than the cash. It's the inconvenience and the principal behind the fundamentals of business and being a decent human being that really ticks me off about these types of people. Anyways, claim is open.
I havent bought anything from him, but I did sell him some pistons and I am getting the machine work done for him
I can vouch that he his son is in the hospital. He has been very responsive to me.

Thanks for the insight. If this is the case, would you please let him know that I have been trying to get in touch with him and if he could just reply thru a text or something that would be great; since you seem to be able to get in touch with him...

I do know his son is in the hospital and he's going to be selling his car and everything as soon as he can get it back together.
He's been pretty responsive to me, usually a couple days between messages. He paid me right on time, no questions.
