Arrow SRR - Feedback

SRR aka Shurland Richards sold me an OEM Honda S2000 intake/air box from a 2006 model and confirmed that a) the airbox cover does not have ANY scratches and b) would properly package airbox cover so that it would not get damaged during shipping.

Received item like this (note: absolutely no packing material included):

I tried to resolve with Shurland by provided a few options but he's stop replying back to my messages but yet continues to sell items in the Marketplace... Opening dispute with Paypal now... we'll see how it goes. Buyers BEWARE!

Edit: Shurland is calling me a liar now! Why the hell would I put 7 years of my s2ki.com reputation at risk for a $65 OEM airbox? That makes NO SENSE.

I just recently purchased a pair of AP2 tail lights from him within the last week and the transaction went through smoothly. I received the product within a week and they are just as he described. They came in the OEM Honda boxes and were well wrapped and packaged, I was afraid that when they would be deliver I would expect to see a cracked housing due to handling but they were fine. I can vouch for him being a good seller. Thanks SRR I like the tail lights, all that's left is installation.

I purchased a bumper from srr about a month ago and the item came broken due to shipping but srr was very honest and quick to resolve the issue he issued me a refund no questions asked. I vouch for srr even though my product was damaged srr did right by me and is a respected seller in my book. Hope everything works out!

i bought a carbon fiber coil cover from him about 2 weeks ago and it came wrapped in foam and a good box. Even though the box was shaddy looking from usps i opened it up and was happy to see it looking like brand new. Perfect product and came as he said. We have talked many transactions before, this was the first to go through and it was great.

Had no issues with Shur. Fairly straight, honest guy

Misunderstanding or possibly a failure on shipping company

Unbelievable... this can't be the same guy that all you guys are raving about.

Here are the PMs of our transaction:

Jan 15 2009, 12:05 AM - Me: Just to clarify, the airbox cover has no scratches, cracks, etc?

Jan 15 2009, 9:01 AM - Shurland: nope no scratches or cracks

Jan 15 2009, 12:46 PM - Me: Ok, sending now...

Jan 15 2009, 01:43 PM - Shurland: ok will ship when payment recieved

Jan 15 2009, 02:33 PM - Me: Done. Sorry, I stepped out for lunch. BTW, can you please make sure that the cover does not get scratched or cracked during shipment (i.e. bubble wrap, newspaper, foam popcorn, etc)? Thanks!

Jan 15 2009, 02:36 PM - Shurland: no prob, thank you... will pm u with shipping info

Jan 20 2009, 06:26 PM - Me: Hey there, Any tracking number/info yet? Thanks!

Jan 21 2009, 04:39 PM - Shurland: hey keith, sorry for the delay, the airbox was shipped yesterday with usps delayed because of the holiday, i payed extra to get the tracking/confirmation notice, i will pm the number to you shortly... thanks

Jan 23 2009, 11:32 AM - Me: I just received the air box a couple minutes ago and I'm pretty disappointed.

First, I had asked if you could properly package the air box so the cover (which you told me had no scratches) would not be damaged. I found NO bubble wrap, newspaper of foam popcorn... just the air box simple in the box.

Second, you told me there were no scratches on the cover... I was looking to replace my air box cover which has many fine scratches on it... And to my disappointment, there are MANY fine scratches on this air box cover as well. So basically I paid $65 for something I already had.

Please advise how we can resolve this issue.

Jan 23 2009, 01:02 PM - Shurland: hey man sorry to hear that you are dissapointed with the airbox, can u send me a pic of the damages or scratches on it please? thanks i basically lost on this airbox because the shipping alone was over $30 but ill see what i can do

sorry again that you are not happy, thanks

Jan 23 2009, 01:12 PM - Here are the pictures ->

http://www.chillybanana.com/pictures....php?album=253

I hear ya on the shipping and trust me, I didn't want to waste anybody's time or money on this transaction but if I would have know about these scratches, I won't have even bothered.

Jan 23 2009, 01:27 PM - Shurland: i saw the pics, but they dont look like the airbox cover that i shipped to u, do u have any suggestions on resolving this? if you want i can make a post advertising it for sale with these pics? so u can get your money back or more, thanks let me know

Jan 23 2009, 01:27 PM - This IS the air box you shipped to me. I took the pictures 5 mins after it was delivered to me. As you can see there was NO packaging material around the airbox or cover like I had requested. I'm not sure what you are implying but I wouldn't try to 'scam' anybody $65 for something so small. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume the cover was scratch free when you sent it... which means that since the cover wasn't covered in bubble wrap, newspaper, etc, it was free to rub against the cardboard box during shipping which caused the scratches... which is NOT my fault.

I'll proposal 3 options...

1) Provide me a full refund and I'll ship the intake back EXACTLY the way you shipped it to me. I'll even be a nice guy and cover the cost of shipping back to you even though the transaction was an entire waste of my time and money.

2) Provide me with a partial refund so I can at least sell it and get my money back. I would suggest at least $25.... Remember, I could have paid $20-40 for any old airbox from anybody else but I paid more for a SCRATCH FREE airbox which is not what I received.

3) We try to settle this via PayPal and posting this on S2Ki.com and see what other members think of this transaction.

Let me know either way.

Jan 28 2009, 01:14 PM - Me: Hey there, Still waiting for a response... or I'm assuming you want to go with option 3.

Please let me know.

Feb 2 2009, 04:53 PM - Me: So, I see that you are now calling me a liar and not replying back to my PM. Nice... from now on, I'll make sure to let everyone know how our transaction went every time you start a for sale thread...

I hope it was worth the short cut you took and not including any packaging material AND/OR lying to me about the condition of the air box cover.

Cheers,

From PayPal regarding the dispute:

* 2/2/2009 10:10 PST - PayPal: Seller escalated this dispute to a Claim.
* 2/2/2009 10:10 PST - Seller: Item described is item shipped, buyer switched s2000 airboxes, the parts he has in his pictures is not what is shipped to him, he said the paper box scratched the item, that is not possible
* 2/2/2009 09:45 PST - PayPal: Keith Lee requested a $25.00 USD refund.
* 2/2/2009 09:45 PST - Buyer: Received item not as described and promised by seller. Specifically asked and paid for a Honda S2000 OEM intake with NO scratches on the air box cover from an 2006 model (please see PayPal payment description). Seller also promised to properly package item so item does not get damaged or scratched during shipping and seller failed to do this as well. Tried to resolve issue with seller but refuses to reply back to my messages.

He stopped replying back to me after January 23rd... if I have to prove my creditability and that my air box is on my S2000 AND that it is a 2000 air box while the Shurland sent me is a 2006, then I will. I just find it terrible that he TOTALLY ignores me and calls me a liar which I take seriously...
