I got a text from a guy interested in my turbo kit. He wanted to pay with a check. I was a bit skeptical from the beginning when he wanted to pay with a check, and not PayPal, Bank transfer, ETC. He sent me the check, and it turned out to be a credit card check. I talked to the bank about the check and they said it would take about 4 weeks to clear, and that it would show up in my account. After the check cleared, if the credit card it was linked to did not have the full amount of the check, it would decline the transaction and pull the funds from my account. The check he sent showed:

I checked and this address does not exist. I do have his phone number in case he tries to contact anyone else:

Luckily I talked to the bank and did not fall for this. I wanted to post this, so no one will fall for it.

I tried to contact the guy saying that if he had other means of payment, we could still make a deal. He never responded...

 

Damn good catch. I'm starting to get weary on selling stuff via paypal too cuz when they send the money its Instant. But when I transfer to my bank it takes 3 days I just wonder if they can pull payment after I've shipped.
