Default ACDetailing: 2001 S2000

So here is the final result with my trials and tribulations of super soft honda paint, and trying to get the most possible correction within a time/price limit. After the customer picked up the car, he was very pleased with the work, and I went over with him how the paint was going to look in the sun, and even showed him under my different lights just what to expect (picked it up at night time). I was able to get arounf 95% corrected though..

Great job! That is exactly what my Berlina looks like right now; fine scratches and what not all over the place.

Great engine setup as well

I am having a bit of trouble on an NSX I am working on right now. When you say two passes, what exactly is your process? Thanks!

ALso, how does the black pad differ from the blue?

2 passes meaning to applications with your normal zenith point of polish technique.

Also, the black pad is slightly more aggressive than the blue pad, which is perfect for jeweling the paint to get rid of the slight holograms you are talking about.

Do you have a PC or RO of some sort? The thing with soft paint, that I learned from an incredible detailer in Orlando is that in order to finish out hologram free on a soft clear is to go extremely slow, both working the product in, and speed of the machine. A lot of pros still can't finish 100% hologram free, and have to switch over to an RO in order to make the finish 100%. I still have a PC for this exact purpose, incase I ever run into it.

I am using a high speed. However, after about an hour of reading on Autopia I came to the conclusion that my po85rd/blue pad SHOULD work. Everyone else was using a black pad, but they are pretty close. So I gave it a shot and tada! This "awesome" detailer in Orlando doesnt happen to be Todd does it? Hes a good guy, learning a ton from him already. In the end I did get a hologram free finish using my PO85rd/blue pad.
