The front center caps sit flush:


The rear center caps sit a few millimeters off of the wheel face.
I've had these on for a lot of miles and they haven't budged,
so I don't think that they'll be coming off on their own:


The type of spray paint I used.
You can't really tell the color on the cap in this pic,
but it's pretty close to our bronze wheel color.
Plus it has an ultra flat finish:
