Deb, both of the ex-goalie announcers for the Wings - before and after the game - agreed this should be the Cap's year. Great coaching, lots of depth, playing as a "team", playing great D, and lots of talent, and scoring like crazy. Having said all that, I don't understand how you beat us.

Oops, they did it again!

Based on this "Hockey News" chart, the number of points they have [more than anyone else in the league] and the number of games left [they only need to win 7 of their last 27 to reach the "magic" 95 point total], it looks like Deb can safely buy playoff tickets.
HABS and KINGS not in too bad shape either.
As for the WINGS and BRUINS.....

Paul, I like your chances a LOT better than ours! Interesting chart.

I don't like the looks of our remaining schedule one teeny tiny bit. .
We've got 25 games left and have to win 17 of them to get to 95 points.
We play a lot of teams out west for one thing and some of them are a LOT better than we are [although we did beat the SHARKS at home a couple of nights ago and Vancouver today. We were lucky. Two great shots but goal post hits saves our bacon today ].
We're also playing a bunch of back to back games; our primary goalie [Rask] is overworked and our two backup goalies [which we rotate on a regular basis] leave a lot to be desired. They're so inconsistent and goal 'leaky' they should consider changing their first names to 'Sieve".
Emil...... We host your guys tomorrow. Play NICE...!!!!!

Paul, you sly devil, pretending your guys are just holding on by their nails and then you kick butt. That's not nice. Oh, well, my Wings are on a roll - fourth straight loss when it really matters.

Hey Dave.... What can I say....!!! You know the old saying: "Old age and treachery......."
By the way, what the heck was Nyquist thinking with that high stick on Spurgeon.. ?? He's not a dirty player. Spurgeon is lucky he didn't lose an eye. They played that hit during the 2nd break in the BRUINS/HABS game at least 5 times.
Emil... The HABS didn't have to play THAT nice.....!!!!!
