A-7 Corsair model, done by a guy I know. Thought this might bring memories back to CosmoMiller.

 

My late lawyer and good friend flew the Corsair in WWII.

 

MsPerky, prolly this Corsair (F4U), for WW2. Cosmomiller flew the Corsair II. Both awesome planes built by Vought.

 

Right...there is one hanging in the Marine Corps Museum in Quantico.

 

Thanks for the tips on the decals. That is my worst fear about building such an old kit.

I have the same program from the 1976 race. It was the first race of any kind that I had ever been to! I remember traveling to the Glen in my older brother's "tricked out" van. I was a very impressionable kid. It was probably what has lead me to a 25 year membership with the SCCA.

 

That's neat. Small world.

I grew up hitch hiking by myself 8 miles out of town to a 1/4 mile dirt track every Saturday night. It was a safer world back then.

 

Well, I found time the past couple weeks to make a model car diorama of my MG garage. Thought I would share it.
