Default Rear Window Demister Switch

Hi
I desperately need a rear window demister switch for my 53plate S2000.
When I bought the car the demister worked but now has failed and when I took it to a main dealer, they told me that the switch was both wrong and not wired !

Cant understand how that happened - but they want c£170 to fit one!

I live in Manchester and would welcome some help in locating a cheaper one!
Cheers

Steve

Honda S2000 1999 - 03 OEM Rear Heated Window Switch (RHW) FREE POSTAGE | eBay

Pretty easy to fit yourself if you like that kind of thing. If not i always go to Phoenix Close Honda in Heywood. The owner is called Chris and he was a Honda tech for 12 years before setting up on his own.

Hi
Thanks but that switch doesn't look like the one I have in the car - which is a demister and heated wing mirror one - although I don't think my car has the heated wing mirrors!

Also the one already in the console is larger than the switch you have identified on ebay

So I am a bit confused but thanks for the response

I have used Chris before so will contact him

Cheers

Steve

The MY03 cars didn't have heated mirrors, and therefore the switch is different.

Here's a pic:

It sounds like someone has bodged together the switch in your car with a new one (which sounds like it has different connectors).

the switch in the Ebay ad is the correct one for your car.

Cheers - That's what I thought as the connectors did not fit.
I have bought the switch
Many thanks

Hi, I fitted the switch and it works, however it does not fit the receptacle - the switch is too small. Here is my old switch which fitted the receptacle in the console but the connecter was totally the wrong fitting. Bit confused!
