Default Soft Top Question

Hi All,

I have a MY00 JDM S2K. The roof has a small tear and I would like to change the hood with one that has the glass rear screen.
Is it simply a matter of purchasing an 02+ soft top and installing or does the frame need changing as well? Is there a difference from the 02 and the 04+ soft tops?

Thanks in advance

Frame too if you're going with an OEM top, you can buy a glass replacement top off other manufacturers though.

Here's a how do replace https://www.s2ki.com/forums/uk-ireland-s2000-community-25/how-soft-top-removal-1014512/

Alternatively a lot of guys on here get the tops replaced at Jack Smiths in Swansea. Very cheaply compared to other places. I think he uses the existing rear window so if you want glass you have to source one yourself.

See if Robin still has this available https://www.s2ki.com/forums/uk-ireland-sale-wanted-120/glass-rear-window-1165826/

That write up is for removing the top inc frame....

Do a search on here for Jack Smith. Think the replacement roof is around £300'ish.
