A day at New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival this past Thursday.
Headed out to Orlando in a few minutes to meet up with Rob, Morgan, and 1 year old grandson Corbin. Rob has some kind of NASA conference there so they are driving down and spending the week. We are meeting up with all our Orlando relatives so they can see Corbin. Probably spend Sunday afternoon in Eola Park.
Made it home just fine from NC. I had a first class ticket this time, which was unusual. On the flight from CLT happened to be chatting with the gentleman next to me, who turned out to be the Cuban Ambassador to the US! Interesting. He had been in Louisville KY, which has a rather large Cuban population.
In addition to the discussion about Cuba, I told him I had been missing really good Cuban food here in DC. He gave me the name of a place downtown that is owned by Cubans, so I'm really looking forward to going there. Yay!
