My Juncos (snowbirds) have left. Feeders are getting active again, just the typical birds. I am seeing the White Breasted Nut Hatch a bit more often. Cool bird. I'll have to lurk in the yard with the camera and zoom.

Best of all my hummingbirds have returned.
We have seen 1 hummingbird a day for the past week or so..... hope more show up soon!

We have not seen any hummingbirds as yet but the Oriole's are enjoying the hummingbird feeder.

With no lawn in yet, I can't put out any feeder. I sure would like to get them out soon.

Spotted a gray colored bird at the jelly feeder I put out for the Orioles. Did not get a real good look, but based on my internet search it may be a Gray Catbird. I'll have to get a closer look this evening after work.

Sadly I won't have this type of photo op any longer. This titmouse and the finch were both (on different photo op days) in a tall pine tree in a neighbor's yard. The tree was in pretty rough shape and needed to go. BUT it provided a good spot for the birds who frequent my feeder to hang out after grabbing a seed, and it provided them with nice shelter and a safe place away from predators. The tree was close to the feeder, so I'm not sure how much activity that feeder will see. Too bad, it was cool watching the birds grab a seed and fly up into the tree.

Cool shots. Do you use a tripod for those? Or just wing it?
