Thank you, Sue. It was a lovely party. Ally had many friends there. Interesting to watch a bunch of teenagers interact. OMG some of the dresses on these young ladies. Wow! LOL..

We have a tendency to visit waterfalls in the fall....yep bad timing.
Dave, the granddaughter has attended quite a few "Sweet Sixteen" parties. I guess they are making a comeback. I don't get spending the $$ on it, but it's not for me to say. My daughter in law is of Portuguese descent. They seem to have parties for lots of occasions. We were lucky to get a cake at 16.
As Rick and I left, we noticed a young couple posing for a photograph, the guy had his hand on the young lady's backside. I was mildly disturbed by this...don't know why. It just didn't seem too classy. I guess I'm getting old.

I'll confirm in the next few days - Home late tonight and out tomorrow. I would think they varied from 2 or 3 seconds up to about 6 or 8.
Lainey- for timing, I was referring to time of day vs. time of year. They've had quite a bit of rain lately, so they were flowing. Even just driving along Rt 14 you'd pass little streams flowing down the hillsides as small waterfalls.
Being able to slow the shutter down enough to get the milky effect when the sun is high overhead is difficult. I already had stacked an ND8, ND4 and a CP (about 6 stops total). ISO at 100, and F22. Shooting before the sun was up, or after it was headed down would allow a really long exposure. You can see the stacked filters on the 2 images from my wide lens.

Gary, how disappointing to lose so many photos!! I love the first two flower pics the best.
We have the same macro lens....I love spending time crawling around the garden with it...
BTW, I've also tried to post links here that show in the post when I review, but they don't show on the thread. What is up with that? Anyone know?
