What plans do you have for the coming Weekend?
And you are wise not to, per my wife who spent most of her career in banking. When I sold the NSX remotely, I opened a no fee savings account with a $20 deposit and used it to receive the wire transfer from the buyer. Thus I did not have to provide the buyer with one of my regular account numbers. It still took a couple of days to confirm the transaction so that the money was mine no matter what. Of course I did not mail out the title until that process was complete. Your local branch manager can probably provide guidance. Mine was extremely helpful and made the process easy as you please.
Rock Lobster 200-Mile Relay the +1 is running with a team. He did it last year, too. The route is very picturesque.
"The Rock Lobster Relay is the first of its kind in Maine. You and your friends will be running and enjoying Maine’s eastern rocky coast in its most beautiful time in the summer. The course starts in Bar Harbor, located on Mt. Desert Island and winds its way through 34 beautiful coastal Maine towns before ending in the historic Portland neighborhood, the Old Port. The Old Port is known for its unique stores, its many micro breweries, and it diverse restaurants."

Went to a listen to a local band last night with a friend, then to dinner. Rosslyn is becoming almost like NYC with all the new skyscrapers. There is a Central Place plaza that is becoming a focal point for social activities. Trying to promote Rosslyn as a place to hang out after work rather than leave. It's working pretty well - http://www.rosslynva.org/
Cars and Coffee with the Vortx tomorrow morning. A little yard work and clean up the S2000 as it is filthy from last weekend's trip to Pocono. (A few too many cone marks and got caught in a heavy down pour on the way home.) Hope the weather is nice enough to relax in the pool. It has been cool and rainy here all spring.
Tonight Sandy and I will probably head down to Murky Waters BBQ to catch some ribs and Mississippi blues man Tommy "Tune" Pruitt. He played with Bo Diddley, Ivory Joe Hunter, Ike & Tina, among others. We lack a lot of things in Mississippi...strong economic base, fall colors, enlightened government. But we don't lack for great blues.
Plans were to be up north fishing for small mouth bass today but plans changed. Son-in-law, coming from FL, spent the night in the hospital in Columbus, OH. About 4am he passed a kidney stone. He's under the weather and apparently has two more, so they are coming to our house rather than going to the cabin. To top things off their 4 year old got strep just before they left and the 1 year old apparently has it now too. I hope not but we may have spent a bunch of $$$$ for a cabin that won't get used.
^
How long do you have the cabin for? 24 hours on antibiotics and the children should feel better. The guest we brought to SC came down with strep. She was 90% better the next AM. Fingers crossed for you that son in law feels better and you get to hit the road. I've heard from many people that kidney stone pain is worse than delivering a baby. He gets a badge of honor.

My wife frequently reminds me of it!
