i know how you feel lol. i think it has something to do with mainly stock cars in general that do not get much attention. appearance wise my S is not that modified and does not get very much attention from people that dont know how great it is. i treat those people with the american muscle cars the same way i dont pay any attention to them

So true, unfortunately so.

I fall into that "old guys" age range. but I'm not one who thinks they should be stored and shown once a month!

I used to attend a bunch of shows every season, but now I've cut back to just a few. Maybe they've run their course for me.

 

I don't know. I think it would clash with my car.

 

I am not big on car shows - doesn't really matter what or where. For me they are just a reason to meet up with others that I know will be going and to catchup with their lives, often while enjoying a brew. At the all MG shows I generally only look at the really old stuff. At all British shows I am only drawn to the really unusual and rare cars or look at the old British bikes. If the show is primarily American the only ones I'm drawn to are ones I can relate to from my youth - one like my parents, or the first one of my buddies that I drove when underage, etc. One of my favorite car shows is called the Orphan Show as they only allow cars where the manufacturer has gone out of business..... i.e., DeSota, Hudson, and the like.

For me, the only real car show I really love is on a race track. That's why I followed vintage racing for so many years and took in as much as I could.

I never go to car shows anymore. Drives, yes, but no shows. I bought my dream car so there was no reason for me to go looking at shows anymore. I just need to drive it so I can experience the thrill of owning it. I'll be joining with others on Sunday in Malibu, CA. I don't drive my hottie car often but when I do I remember why I love it so much, besides just admiring its esthetically pleasing shape.

​Oh, and my S2000 is my go-to FUN car. I NEED to own an S2000 because I love it so much, kinda like having a good cat. It's a must-have have. Cars are fun if you get into the right ones. My kids (30 and almost 29) do not get that.

 

Never took mine as I know these are muscle car shows. We do have a British car show and it is very well attended. Had to move to a bigger area. I did take my Jeep to one and it didn't get much notice. I sat there for 4 boring hot hours then left. But, I did get some detailing business.

If you want attention this is what you need. I was driving through town last night and looked down a side street. This is what I saw driving towards me. What a great sight. A little later we stopped at a bar and guess what was being loaded on a trailer across the street from it - yep, same ride. It is a 1921 Ford Model T truck.
