I want to install some aftermarket gauges but am unsure on where to mount them. Where have others installed them?
A piller - Guessing you can only install 2 and would it reduce visibility?
Drill into radio door but have to relocate radio
Drill into dash - scares the crap out of me.
Ideally i would like to run
Oil Temp
Oil Pressure
Air/fuel ratio
Boost
Is there a smarter option to possibly have a digital gauge that displays all the information?
The a-pillar ones are pretty good - but finding pre fab one is hard - there was a group buy 6-7 years ago - mine is long gone. Had an oil pressure gauge and an AEM serial gauge .
If you get the slim digital gauges you can fit them in the door like the Ricks. I can't remember the make of the original gauges - Nordskog Street Series digital they were awesome - these look similar
Depends on the ECU you are running - but you can get a windows tablet or something - and fit a JDM bezel like this one. This is the one I prefered as it then gave you full access to the ECU too.

Problem with cobbling the dashboard is whatever you put in there is already obsolete.
I think I can see most of what you're interested in via a small iPad which can be mounted several places and not ruin the interior. My interface is via my FlashPro but ODB2 interfaces are common.
I like the idea of a tablet or larger screen, but with an already small cabin and nowhere to really mount it without cutting dash etc... think A-Pillar will be best bet.
Assuming oil temp and pressure can be wired into the AEM EMS Series 2 any small tablet would be the best bet. Just need to plug it in as and when desired. Is there any Apps that work with the AEM to give a clean gauge like interface?

I guess the question would be, what is needed to use a phone and app to read data from the ECU. To my knowledge, currently no apps to link up with the AEM.
