Default How About Pics of Your Ride?

I'm starting this thread for two reasons:
1. It provides an opportunity for me to share a couple of recent pics showing progress on my 1979 Accord...because I am way too proud of her and love to share her. And
2. I'm hoping it will encourage others to share pictures of their cars...S2000's, NSX's, classics, daily drivers, whatever. If you have pics you like how about sharing with the rest of us. I'm looking at you Bill. And Dave. And anyone else who hasn't posted pics of your cars lately. At rest or in action, whatever you have.

Front lip is a period correct German item by Kamei. Very high quality for 1980, made from high impact polystyrene, I think. Kamei sticker has been removed since this pic and the whole effect is a LOT more subtle.
Those Minilite/Panasport knock-offs are actually RS Watanabe Eightspoke. Also period correct and drilled for the weird 1G Civic/Accord PCD of 4x120.

Rear louvers are a Honda item that sat in someone's garage attic for 35 years. Cleaned up pretty well but slats are not exactly straight. Consistent with the overall driver quality of the car. Been replacing a lot of parts with NOS, some for better functionality and some for cosmetic reasons. Engine bay cleanup continues and there are a few interior items still on the to-do list if I can find the parts. Just replaced the rear glass rubber seal with NOS. I also have one for the windshield but I'm hoping to score a new windshield in August so holding off on installing the seal. Yesterday I received new OEM mud flaps from Malaysia and a new hood trim piece from the Netherlands. Love the Internet.

Mike, your project is looking great. I agree, removing the emblem on the front lip was the way to go. What really surprised me was the hp rating I found on this site 1979 Honda Accord Hatchback (since October 1978 for North America ) specs review but they do a nice job of making comparisons to other cars of the period at the bottom of the page; and many were in the mid 70s. Something I'd forgotten (along with a lot of things). A small family car that's fun to drive and gets decent mileage was neat when it came packaged as nice as this Accord, especially in the 3-door hatch. Love the nice clean lines.

What did they offer in the way of optional equipment?

I bought these two photos online from Rock Store Photos.

^March 24, 2013. In Malibu on Mulholland Drive, during an NSX group drive. My friends told me I needed sway bars after seeing this photo.

^Feb. 23, 2014, the next time. In Malibu on Mulholland Drive, during an NSX group drive. Same corner but less tilt with the sway bars installed.

Photos? I gotta have blue. I wasn't interested in any other color NSX when I was looking in 2009. On the other hand, the new NSX looks very nice in the Valencia Red Pearl. I have yet to see it in person in Novuelle Blue Pearl.
