ticking noise?

if my car does have this cylinder#4 problem, will it be covered under warranty? i have aprox 2300k miles.

Nope, the issue is not a MY2001 exclusive issue. I think I was the first to have the issue, or at least the first to report the issue on this board. I had to drive a Dodge Neon for 3 weeks while they replaced the entire engine, not just the short block.

well, took my car to the dealer...they told me my car is screwed and vtec isn't coming in anymore. and the cylinder is probably gone. so, i gotta wait and see. thanks 4 the help guys

I get a tapping/ticking noise when the engine is cold and at only low revs (goes away at any revs above idle). It's kind of a random pattern, not directly tied to rpms. It's not too loud, have to be outside or the top down to hear it. I think it's normal, or at least not the #4cyl problem.

Sorry to hear it. Honda will take care of you. My car has run perfectly since the swap, as I'm sure yours will.
