Default Front License Plate Bracket Options

I picked up my S in Dallas Texas and took the long way home back to Oregon a few months ago. Oregon law states you must have a front and rear license plate for your vehicle and my S didnt come with the OEM bracket. The bolt covers are on the car still and I want to be compliant.

Is the OEM bracket the best and least expensive option in this case or are there other options that a functionable?

But for something very cool, check out the motorized version of the "Hide a Plate" or "Stow and Go" plate holders. You can mount below the bumber.

See. Welcome to Hide The Plate!

I used a Jaguar front license plate holder, drilled a new mount hole to allow it to clear my splitter and mounted it using OEM bumper bolt location with a longer M6 bolt.

You can also get a tow hook mount but it looks ridiculous IMO.

I've had my front plate recessed inside the grille area for 14 years, and it's worked great. I just trimmed almost 1/4" off the top and bottom edge of the plate, and took a thin strip of black duct tape and covered the edge so it won't scrape the paint on the car. Then I ziptied it to the grille.

The Bucktooth placement is the best look that I have found for both AP1 and AP2.

Here is what I did with mine.

I personally keep my front plate under my drivers seat and have a "I took it off to wax the car and lost the bolts" excuse.

Plate holders that screw into the tow hook also exist.....

Honda S2000 2000-2009 rho-plate V2

This company makes them but theyre pricey.
You can probably make your own from hardware store parts for a few bucks...

+1

I did what he did on my Ap2 and it looks great. Saved me some cash.
