New family ride!
We had a 2004, 2012, and now a 2018 odyssey. It's been my favorite car/s over all the cars we have bought. The '18 is amazing. The features and interior are great. It has everything and more! Will post with driving dynamics, but it has 10 speed auto and should be fairly quick for a 2.5 ton vehicle.

We had a 2001 and a 2010 Odyssey but recently jumped ship to a Sienna Limited AWD which has been fantastic. My wife never warmed up to the generation 4 'lightning bolt' styling so Toyota it was. The generation 5 is somewhat softer which is good. I wish Honda would have left out the swoopy side creases, reminds me of the last Mazda 5. Honda also got with the times and hid the sliding door tracks in the rear quarter glass.

My inlaws have an Odyssey that they load to the gills with vacation gear and drive around town endlessly for the kids.
Approaching 200K and has never let them down.
If I needed a minivan, this would be it

Great vehicle. We have an Odyssey and it's a fantastic vehicle for a family. Will be curious to get your thoughts on this once you've owned it a month or two. The updates (especially the 10AT) are pretty significant.

Its a good looking vehicle, better than most sedans and almost all suvs, imo. The amount of shit you get with it is awesome too: lidar, internal fish eye camera, the stereo is awesome, 10 speed transmission, tons of other stuff. I have four kids and I can't imagine owning anything, but this or the Pacifica for moving them around in comfort and safety.
Honda knows how to van.
PS: The mocha interior in the elite trim is amazing too. It's beautiful and it approaches my M5 in design (might actually be better) and quality. The seats are great. It's hard to get a picture that really does the interior justice as it's a big vehicle.
