Default Winter Storage

Every year this subject gets kicked around and everyone has their opinions on what to do - me included. I think this article sums up my approach better than I could ever state it.

Great article. I fully agree and comply with it but find it hard to move the car every so often for the sake of the tires. The Optimate battery tender is a great product. I now use the Optimate 6 for storage and the Optimate 4 to maintain my sump pump emergency battery in the house.

I don't have that problem. I drive both cars during winter but I do put a charge on the 228 when we are in Fla. for 6 weeks.

I have a new twist on the problem this year.
The good news is I have a 3 car garage.
The bad news is I have 2 summer two seaters, the two daily drivers and the project car.
it has been made rather clear that my wife will be parking whatever vehicle she is driving in one of the garage bays.
I've been looking at tents etc. not quite sure how this will play out but the two seaters do have battery tenders on them.
I'm not sure which vehicle will sleep in the tent, my be my S2000 as I wan to work on the SL500 over the winter.

I used to winter store my olde MGB at the fairgrounds. These places seem to universally offer winter storage. I know our cars will fit in a large "U-Store It" (whatever they're called in your area) room as there was one where I kept my camper every summer outdoors. Camper went in a barn at the fairgrounds every winter to.

I lost my garage storage this year my s is currently in my "dooryard". I'm still trying to decide what I want to do there is no decent storage around here other than one storage place that is fenced in and secure but not heated. I did find a decent sized 2 car garage for sale one street over from me that I have been considering buying but it's on an unbuildable lot so I'm on the fence about buying it since financially it doesn't make the best sense but hey it would be awesome to have my own toy box.

Our S has snow tires and is ready for winter....Thankfully, Rick's commute is short and by back roads. No city potholes. We were out and about top down today! 55 degrees!
