I'm hoping to run the S2K challenge next year =)

question on the front aero, if i have a aftermarket front bumper, wheel splats, and a alumalite splitter.

Do I pick Level 2 front aero (0.5 pts)?
or do i pick Levl 1 front aero + Level 2 + Spats Only? (0.25 + 0.5 +0.125)

I plan on sticking in street, but I can't wait to see the schedule for next year. I'd like to make it to more events next year

L2 front aero is inclusive of spats, canards and splitter so just take that.

First of all, thanks Ryan and whoever is taking their precious time to discuss these rules and schedules.


I am wondering if sort of dividing the SM with 2 sub-class such as NA and FI would work in any way.....
There still will be some cars that won't make Mod class with revised rule but still is NA, and still will get killed by FI cars even if we can throw down decent lap times for NA motor....

Or if that don't work, why not increase Mod class cap to say, 7.5? that way most NA cars would fall into Mod and have more competitive field with similar powered cars...

Although it is different case, Supermiata divides into 2 class now S1 and S2 depending on whether it is FI or NA motor ( I know some other details differ as well but still)

Just my 0.02..

Should totally make an east coast challenge for 2019 since NASA decided to stick it to the S2k.

Just my 0.02..
We are bumping mod from 6.5 to 7 to pull the non FI cars back down. Any more and it opens up class and wallet breaking setups like running full R-comps in mod and that will then make that necessary to compete.

We went through the standard supermod setups before boost got popular and 7 points would cover pretty much all of it with few exceptions. Even the most wild setups would fit into mod without FI/displacement change or full R-comps. It also means most FI setups are going to be limited to little or no aero in mod.

We also just dont get much critical mass in supermod. 3-5 drivers max and thats sporadic, so pulling unlimited down into it and clearing out the NA guys at the bottom into mod feels like it makes a lot of sense. Thicker fields and more level competition.

It has the added benefit of letting a mod car potentially swap over to NASA TT4 if you prep carefully and have 2 sets of wheels, while supermod now crosses right into TT2 for FI cars.
