S2K CRX offer?
hey all, got a question for you guys
So I have a 2000 S2000 with 143k miles. I have a mugen carbon fiber hardtop, circuit garage flares, HKS exhaust, cosmis wheels, K&N intake, carbon fiber wing, and a decent amount of other modifications.
I posted my car up for trade, and I've been offered a stupid clean CRX with an awesome mod list and it is done right.
Here is what the owner said it has:
"
B16, sleeved, 85mm weisco coated pistons, eagle rods, balanced rotating assembly, supertech valves, gsr cams, skunk 2 can gears, Hondata cop, s300, Rywire harnesses, jg intake, 68mm tb, skunk 2 fuel rail, 880 injectors(I have 1300 ids but haven’t put on and retuned) full skunk 2 pro c coil overs, Mugen mr5 wheels, integra front brakes, innovative front traction bar, suspension techniques sway bar, precision sc 61 turbo, neukin manifold, ceramic
Coated all, Hasport mounts, Hasport cable to hydro conversion, tucked radiator, tucked brake lines, sparco seats, sparco steering wheel, mugen shift knob, wings west body kit, carbon fiber zc hood, edm spoiler, custom stereo with fiberglass (lots of info on that) car was feature in Honda Tuning.
That’s some of what it has."
the body is super clean and the car looks like a blast to track, my main concern is value of reselling and if this is a poor financial decision.
Basically I'm wondering:
1) does anyone here have an opinion on CRXs?
2) does anyone here know a round about value of this CRX?
3) What would you value my S2000?
Apologies if this isn't the right thread to ask
Thanks!

Year and mileage of CRX?
To the right buyer your S2000 is probably worth up to 10k if clean, no seat tears or major bolster wear, no body damage or rust, good paint and clean title. If you want to post pics of the car as it is today that would help determine where you may want to be for asking price.
I have no idea about CRX's but regardless - if you're current car is only worth about 10k ish then there really is no big financial risk here. Go drive it and see what you think. If it's an even trade then you're really the only one who can determine if it's worth the same as your S2000 based on how you value your S2000 (driving pleasure etc). I'd perhaps have it inspected if you can't yourself for engine health etc.

Traded in my '91 CRX Si for the S2000 and never looked back. The CRX was awesome for practicality and street fun, but throwing a bunch of track mods at a CRX is kinda senseless. It'll always be FWD, and therefore at most a "sporty" car. The S2000 is a true sports car.

This may just be me, but I'd be more comfortable keeping a desirable car that I know rather than trading it for a highly modded car that I don't know. If I want a modified car I will buy a stocker and do it myself so I know what was done and when.

With the cut body lines, it is pretty hard to find a buyer. I'm definitely looking to trade/sell my s2000 because I do not really enjoy it that much. I had more fun in my old WRX, but I'm looking to broaden my search and not get another WRX/STI

The CRX is a 1988 with under 4k on built motor

That car looks like it would be a liability on a race track.
But I do love a CRX.
If the CRX resonates with you more than your S2000, and you feel you'll be happy with the trade...then go for it. Who cares what anyone thinks its worth?
I can't imagine trading my S2000 for a CRX. But...thats ME...and MY S2000. Go drive the CRX. See if you like it. I enjoy my S2000. There have been cars (K24 ITR) I regret letting go because I couldn't keep them AND my S2000 due to non-ample parking. But I sure AF would regret keeping my ITR if it meant selling my S2000.
Obviously, I really enjoy my S2000...and I've always made room in my life for it. So my opinion is skewed/probably dumb.
The median user age on this forum is probably like 45. And its a S2000 forum. You're not gonna get many CRX votes.
Everyone is different. A turbo B series (yawn) CRX doesn't tickle my pickle at all. But...does it tickle yours?
