Pretty steep option, but for the right color, would you pay up?

I would for certain cars, but for a Golf? I mean, it's a nice-looking car for what it is, but it's still a Golf.

I really like the golf r and $2500 for a custom color isn't a crazy amount of money. I'd probably just buy the standard red though. I mean the GolfR is a $40k car right?

click-bait title....

it's not any color. VW is offering 40 colors in addition to the standard five.

Would I pay up? No.

Way to much coin for that type of car but mostly because I have taken 2 test drives of the R and found it underwhelming.

I don't know what the fuss is about. It is a very grown up hot hatch with very nice interior materials, and very comfortable and smooth but the engine behavior I would describe as sedate(d).

But for those in the VW scene that want to show their R in blaze orange, well I am sure there will be plenty of takers.

I do say I actually like the some of the loud colors and think they are kind of refreshing and glad they are offered, but $500 or get out. Most people would just plasti-dip the thing for a couple hundred in a loud color and change it whenever they want.

I would do it for that price on any car. That's pretty cheap actually.

Remember the Golf which panel was a different color? Haven't seen one in a long time! They need to bring it back big time!

No, I’d choose white or grey, and spend that $2500 upping the HP/TQ. The motor in it is an iron lump and capable of much higher power and torque.

I went Dark Violet Pearl on my 2018. It was worth it to me; but I also keep cars for a long time. Drop in filter and a piggyback, Cquartz ceramic I applied myself the night I brought it home

Great all-year car for Alberta.
