subframe differences
#2
Even Jesus knows differences between AP1 and AP2. Ancient info.
But its important (and less known) to note that the 06+ don't have the same charcoal canister mounts as previous models.
I have a 06+ subframe on my AP1. I mounted the can up with some finesse. It looks normal because I'm brilliant AF. But its only a matter of time until my smugness catches up with me.

04-09 are AP2 (obviously) and take a different upper control arm. The 06-09 has a slightly different mount for the charcoal canister, but supposedly the canister can be massaged to fit. If you’re looking to swap an ap2 rear subframe into an ap1 the 04-05 will work as the charcoal canister mount is just like the 00-03. But any 04-09 subframe will work.

@B serious you're actually serious...aren't you B...
@Kyle I actually never knew what the canister was for! When installing my J's Racing exhaust my friend and I were under each other's cars wondering "now what do you suppose that thingy is for..."? We couldn't figure it out lol. Man I love this forum
OP: sage advice has been presented above - completely accurate

Yes. The 04-05 subframes differ from AP1 versions.
The UCA mounting points are not compatible.
To get the full effect, you should should pair an AP2 rear subframe with AP2 UCA's and AP2 spindles.

edit* upon further research they are in fact different. Yet the ap1 spindle will work with ap2 subframe and vice versa. Although I'm guessing its not an ideal solution since the slot for the top ball joint is different and designed to work with the ap2 geometry.
