Default URGE designs Mag Wheels

Full story and details on our site.

Magnesium Wheels optimized for the S2000.
  • Lightest weight track wide (9.5 to 10.5") wheels available (13.8 to 15.3 lbs)
  • Even at 18", lighter than 17" options by 2-3+ lbs per wheel, plus 18" tires typical weigh a little less than 17" (less sidewall) for 3-4+ lbs per wheel/tire savings
  • Lighter than typical 18's by 5+ lbs per wheel.
  • Widest wheels for OEM S2000 fenders and +1mm over fenders (every 1" of wheel width is worth ~1 sec per 2 min track time)
  • 18" wheels support S2000 25" diameter better than 17" (worth an additional ~1 sec per 2 min or track time)
  • Maximum BBK clearances
  • Magnesium has incomparably high dampening factor with noticeably less NHV than Aluminum wheels
  • Made by an OEM wheel supplier
3 Size options
  1. 9.5" high offset (13.8 lbs) to fit front OEM fenders ($1350 per wheel)
  2. 10.5" high offset (15.3 lbs) to fit front OEM fenders ($1400 per wheel)
  3. 10.5" higher offset (14.6 lbs) to fit rear OEM fenders ($1400 per wheel)
Note, magnesium wheels are typically >$2000 per wheel, we are going straight to an OEM manufacture and working on lower margins to provide these prices.

5 great combos to fit common S2000 needs
  1. 9.5" front and rear, OEM fender fitment, front to rear tire rotation
  2. 9.5" front, 10.5" higher offset rear, OEM fender fitments
  3. 10.5" high offset front (needs +1" front fender/pull), 10.5" higher offset rear for simple, non staggered fitment
  4. 10.5" higher offset front and rear, with 20mm front spacer and +1" front fender/pull, front to rear tire rotation
  5. 10.5" high offset front and rear, +1" stance and fender/pull front and rear, front to rear tire rotation

Just renders so far as we get our hands on the first production run.

The rendering fed my bias toward the 18”s being too big. Love what you guys are doing, I think it will look much better when the real thing arrives.

The outer diameter of the tire is the same as OEM tires at the same widths, so shouldn't be too big form that POV.

Grassroots motor sports have tested 18's to be 1 second faster per 2 mins of lap time due improved tire control.

We can provide a great deal on 17" Aluminum wheels.
There are not available 17" Mag wheel forging at the wider diameters.
Additionally, 18" wheels have proven to be faster than 17", even on lower HP cars.

@Urge would you guys be interested in a new alloy? Stronger and lighter than aluminum, cheaper than titanium.

Davy Industries
they are making their mark in the power sports market with wheels, suspension, and roll cages. Rhys Millen will be running in the Baja 1000 with their stuff this year. Looks promising

Ive reached out to them to see what they can do.

May not be able to get lighter than Mg wheels, but we have other applications that we could use them for.

Thank you for the recco, we are always trying to get access to the best partners and metallurgy for the S2K.
