Replacement Injector Options
Evening all,
As you may have seen from other threads, I'm currently getting an engine build done (2.2 stroker, high compression). I've just had my injectors cleaned and measured (after 100k miles!), and they're a little bit uneven.
Measured rates are 383, 384, 392 and 404. So a good few percent different. They're probably OK for a standard engine, but I'd like to make sure they're as good as possible for the engine build.
I think I've got 3 options:
Any thoughts appreciated!
Thanks
Chris

I think I've got 3 options:
- Buy a new OEM set. Well over £1k! Seems a little over the top.
- Buy a used set, clean them and hope there is a set of four out of the 8 that are even.
- Buy an aftermarket set. But there are many opinions on which (if any) are up to OEM quality. The only consistent opinion seems to be 'use OEM for NA engines', but it's prohibitively expensive.
Any thoughts appreciated!
Thanks

Guessing you are running some kind of standalone ecu so free to choose from different injectors.
If staying NA and gasoline I would just get a set of something like these https://www.finjector.com/eng/ev14_i...7-p-737927-186
Going to need top and bottom adapters as well if you are using oem rail and intake manifold.

You can probably source an OEM set cheaper, have you checked rockauto?
I have asnu but mine is boosted so renders my experience a bit invalid I think, you wouldn't go much bigger than OEM (they are 380cc something like that) so any quality brand like Bosch you would be fine
As you know, pissing about with fuel rail is then needed
Mine have been fine but it does not idle like OEM driving a SC, no amount of fiddling with the tune improves that for me
I don't know who makes OEM but it won't be honda will it?

I actually put a big order in with Amayama. Whole load of parts, plus the OEM injectors, for £800 plus duty. Which should end up cheaper than the injectors in the UK! Just a little while to wait, but the engine's away being built anyway...
