Info on JHMAP21298S002291 RYP CR
Hi,
I haven't posted here in many years. I hope everyone is doing well and that the S2k community continues to thrive.
I recently purchased a 2008 Rio Yellow Pearl CR from CarBeeCo in Southern California.
Here are my observations so far:
- The rear bumper appears to have had some repair work for prior damage.
- The underbody shows some minor rust on the suspension components.
- The paint on some panels is not perfect.
If any previous (second or third) owners are active here, I would appreciate any additional details you can share about the car’s history. The inspection report looked good to me, and in my opinion, the car is in 8/10 condition for having 22,000 miles.
The dealer was unable to locate the original window sticker. If the second or third owner still has this document, I would be very interested in obtaining it, as it holds significant value for me as a collector.
Regards,
Han

Han,
You are lucky or my years were buzzing and I stumbled upon this... I was a previous owner of this car. I had sold it to a "collector" not knowing he was a collector back in Nov 2018. It was a nice car, back bumper had a blemish which I did not want to fix to keep originality. I had done all the fluids with Amsoil and the bottom simply needs a good lubricant to clean up the surface rust--it is nothing serious especially on the control arms.
I did have the original window sticker and had given the oem hardtop stand with it. Not sure where those went....

Hello! I assumed you’re still active and a Honda enthusiast since I noticed your posts on Cars & Bids when the car was listed for sale in December 2025.
I wasn’t expecting a response on my thread the same day—very cool! It’s great to connect with the previous owner of an S2000, especially a CR.
I don’t have the car yet—it’s still pending shipping. I’d definitely like to connect and will send you a PM in the near future.

and holds a special place in my heart--I bought it from the original owner and if you ever want to connect, I can give you the back story.
