Default Rebadging a debadged S2K

I just picked up my 2001 AP1 S2K a couple weeks ago and it's been an absolute blast. One of the previous owners decided to debadge the car. I very much dislike the debadged look so I purchased some OEM badges to install.

The rear trunk lid badge holes have been welded shut. I can't realistically drill them out perfectly from the interior. On the exterior, it has been filled and painted well enough that I can't find where the factory holes were. I need the exact measurements relative to the top or bottom of the trunk and center line so I can mark where the holes will go. I don't plan on drilling the holes out (unless I'm convinced otherwise). Instead, I will remove the clips and pins from the badge and use some double sided adhesive. This isn't an issue on the front because the bondo isn't perfect and I can see where the holes were.

If anyone is willing to take some mm precision measurements for the AP1 rear trunk lid badge mounting holes from the exterior, I will greatly appreciate it. I can't find anything online since normally you wouldn't need measurements for the front/rear badges.

Don't have the measurements handy but 3M makes permanent tape just for auto trim items like this. No drilling. Use 3M, not a knockoff brand.

I was planning on 3M extreme mounting tape or VHB. Upon searching it up, I see there is 3M automotive exterior attachment tape. I'll purchase this and carefully use an x-acto knife to get the perfect cutout. Thanks!

Get the 3M adhesion promoter wipes, too. Those help a bit to make the surface tacky so it bonds better.

I ended up installing the badges based on pictures online. I'm not sure why I asked for measurements since it's pretty easy to center it on the trunk and front bumper.

It's almost hard to believe some guys were ashamed of the S2000 being a Honda. Did the previous owner bugger the badges on the fenders as well? There are templates available to mount these in the correct positions.

Show us photos of your newly mounted rear badge so we can drive ourselves crazy trying to see if you're a mm off center.

Well I for one removed the rear H emblem and put an S that came from an extra side fender set. Obviously the holes were there but a few years back Billman saw the picture of the rear and commented I placed the S upside down! He is right, of course. Will have to fix that someday. I left the H on the hood in place but never added a license plate so the matching square plugs are intact.

No badges on the fender either; it was completely debadged. I noticed that the trunk key hole was also removed and covered. I don't mind that.
