Default Ahhhh...Email and validation question?

Okay...I see nothing anywhere about how to set up and email account (the @s2ki.com account)...

So, I read a few posts related to this and then went to MyS2K and used the change email address feature to change my email address to grrnmo@s2ki.com

It took me to a validation page...

I don't even know how to look at my @s2ki.com or even if it is set up...so how in the world am I to do this?

BTW...I am posting this with my guest account because the system WON'T LET ME post with my member account since I have no way to access the validation code??

Do you have an account for grrnmo@s2ki.com? You shouldn't change your email address of your account unless you can confirm that you have access to that account and are sure you can receive and send email with it. What is your "other" account name? Why do you have two accounts?

What was that I just heard opening? A can of worms!!

The reason I went to the change email address option was that I thought that was how the @s2ki.com email address was set up. Aparently not.

Thus, I now have no ability to do anything with my "member" account (grrnmo)...

AND I don't have a grrnmo@s2ki.com email account...AND I still don't know how to create one!

As for the two logins...I have been on this site for quite some time, but sold my first S2000 back in 2001. I hardly ever visited the site after that, until I started to look to buy another S2000 6 months ago. By then, I had forgotten my previous username.

Soooo...I set up a whole new account and perchased a membership. Then, while reading through various posts I found one of my posts from my original account. At that point, I asked if everything could just be moved to one account (because it sucks that I have been participating in S2Ki for over 4 years and my "member" account only credits me for a few months), but that wasn't an option. So, once my year expires with "grrnmo" I will be purchasing a membership for "Steve2K" so I don't have the paltry 6 months-look to my account...

Be that as it may, I STILL don't know how to set up this @s2ki.com email account - there is no option in MyS2K to do this??

No...it would not appear that I do. I just realized today that my membership afforded me an email account, and was under the impression from reading other email account related posts that the procedure for setting up an email account was to log into MyS2K and select "change email address."

I did so, entered grrnmo@s2ki.com as my email address, and got a page asking for a validation number...which I don't have...because I have no way to access the email address that may or may not be set up.

Now, once it *IS* set up I should be fine, as the only thing I am aparently able to do with my "grrnmo" account is "resend validation"

I have validated your member account so you should be able to login normally with it. Please confirm it is working again. I will PM your email info to that other account.

Goog but not worth spending the time on. Way too many other things to do.

It's just yet another feature that when used would cause people to flip-out and go dramatic. We don't need it.
