I posted a question about doing a member search by state on this forum with no results. A simple yes/no/maybe would do!

 

I've tried different options to find people by state. However it seems that the problem is when signing up you post your City, State. This does not let the advanced search figure out where (excepy for country) people are from. The answer is No, I might be wrong however others may have figured out a way.

Yes, It's on the list. I will get to it soon. The city/state/country stuff was added by me and is not a feature of the software out-of-the-box. I need to change the search function to accomodate these new fields.

I think what is really needed here is for things like State and Country to be standardized, i.e., have people choose them rather than type them. That way they would be consistent and therefore easier to search on.

The trick would be getting a good list that applies to the whole world.

People who entered valid info will get invited to the parties and events and those that didn't wont. Maybe they care, maybe not but I don't that's for sure. The info is really useful and thus important but I'm not going to hold a gun to peoples head.
