Cannot start a new 'Poll' thread

I want to start 5 poll threads, all canvassing opinion on the site
This is what I wanted to say :
A lot of people have said pretty much the similar things about five main items, so why not vote on what we think? I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank Krazik and cthree et al for the hard work that's obviously gone into this, hope they accept that not all of it may be good, and hope they react to this feedback.
And this is what I wanted to Poll on
Thread 1. Polling opinions on new site changes - Colour
Too gloomy! Lose that dark grey!
No I like the gloom, leave colours as is
Thread 2. Polling opinions on new site changes - Usage info
Put back gears and no. of posts
Never liked the gears. Leave average posts
Thread 3. Polling opinions on new site changes - Usage info
Lose l/h column. Put search bar and links back across top
I love that left column. Leave as is
Thread 4. Polling opinions on new site changes - Speed
Speed it up please, I don't have all day!
Speed is fine for me
Thread 5. Polling opinions on new site changes - Other major changes
Love the changes to the Galleries etc.
Why change it? Please put it back like it was
