Except for images stored in s2ki's database, which additionally requires a 6/ be added to the end of the filename and customimageview be changed to imageview...

I assume the image/photo quoting changes are due to all the people who quote an entire post with 8 big pictures just to add "Cool!"

I guess those of us who want to selectively quote one specific picture will just have to learn to edit the quote to fix the tags, like Rylan suggests. A pain, but probably necessary.

it is if you want the viewer. Imageview shows the basic raw image. The 6 is a size parameter indication forum post size (600 pix wide). Without it should display the image full size.

Also, from a bandwidth and system resource standpoint, opening another window and pulling the entire imageview page would be much more intensive than just leaving the inline image in place - would it not?
Erik or Rylan - Could one of you address this? A quoted picture shouldn't noticably slow the page generation down (since the picture is already cached from the original post), whereas opening another entire page to see the picture that the quoter is talking about would be much more time consuming and much more demanding on the server.

This doesn't have anything to do with server load. It has to do w/ user side load times and scrolling.
