I was wondering if we could get a community page set up that would encompass "The Maritimes" (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, PEI). I am sure there are a bunch of owners that lurk on the forums here and the closest community page is Ottawa.

Can you post a list of interested people from those areas and perhaps someone willing to take the lead in being a Community Organizer (CO)?

 

Sure I will try to gauge some interest in my other thread, and I have no problem stepping into the role until we get established if need be.

 

I put together a list that is starting to grow as time goes on and people discover the thread, but here is the current list. For the time being I would be willing to take the CO spot and try to grow the community group. Based on the provinces and those active members I think a suitable name for the community would be "The Maritimes". There are definitely numerous other s2000's in the area that have not replied to the group but I think we could definitely change that.

This group (see above info) is active and vocal. IMO, their request is reasonable and worthy of consideration. At present, they have made their home in S2000 Talk and they have been good tenants there. Having their own regional area in the forum is a good idea.
