A couple times in the last hour I've gotten a warning from my virus protection (Symantec Endpoint) for a 'Downloader,' which it deleted. Could be another problem in an advert or something ...?

Supposedly infected file in my temp browser cache, popped up as soon as I clicked on a couple different threads. Most recently on this thread in back lot... but not every time I click it. https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=808769

Has happened 3 times today, all in in back lot. However, I pretty much only post in back lot so may or may not be a correlation there.

 

Saw it again, same thread. I think it was probably one of the images or bad image links in it... Vadster took care of the thread

 

Typically we don't allow flash so its probably not something posted by a user. It is more likely a flash ad. It would be most helpful if you could tell me what ads you are seeing if any. I usually won't see the same ads as you on a given thread or page.

 

it was only on that one page and there were a bunch of hotlinked images so Vadster and I figured that was the issue. If it was an s2ki ad, wouldn't it pop up occasionally on various pages?

Anyway, at the time I didn't see any ads, except for the top of the page banner, and I don't know what it was displaying when syamantec caught the downloader.
